Meet the current volunteer executive

For over thirty years the London Multiple Births Association has been a social support for families with multiples of all ages and we are still going strong! The entire club is run by dedicated and hard working volunteers who all have twins or more themselves.

Tammy Langendyk - Co-President Jeremy Langendyk - Dad Support	Tammy & Jeremy joined the LMBA in September 2006 with their then 7 month old twins Alyssa & Owen. Tammy is the Co-President of the LMBA, and her husband, Jeremy, provides Dad Support. They enjoy getting out as a family to many of the events that are hosted and meeting people & making new friends that all have something in common – the wonderful life with multiples.
Tammy Gloin - Co-President and Sale Coordinator	Tammy has been a member of the LMBA since June of 2007 and is a mother of 3 children, Abby who is 5 going on 14 and 2 year old twins, Carter and Marissa. Tammy and her husband have enjoyed making great friends who all have something in common, and understand exactly why sometimes your house is turned upside down, and why you have to have eyes in the back of your head when dealing with multiples.
Lisa Thompson - Vice President	Hi, I'm Lisa and I have been a member of the LMBA since the spring of 2007 when it was confirmed that I was pregnant with twins. I knew I needed to take advantage of the deals I could get at the Spring sale because my boys were due at the time of the Fall sale and I had a feeling I wouldn't be getting out of the house. I was right about that! We didn't get out much for the first 4-6 months and the LMBA facebook site became part of my lifeline to the 'outside' world. I enjoy meeting with other parents of multiples online and chatting about anything and everything.
Sheri Carew - Secretary	Sheri has been a member of the LMBA since she discovered she was carrying triplets. She is a single parent and having 3, 4-year olds keeps her busy. She volunteered with the executive in 2006-2007 doing parent outreach and then became the Secretary in 2007-2008 and is now in her third year and really enjoys meeting the privileged parents of multiples!!
Denise Caskanette - Social Committee Chair	Denise joined the LMBA while she was still pregnant with her twin girls for a chance to get some deals at the sale. She joined the social committee within her first year of being with the club, and is now the Convenor. Denise loves the change and growth she's seen within the club since joining, and is pleased to be a part of it for what the future promises. Her third child, Ivy, was born in January 2009. currently Denise chairs the social committee of Shannon Wong, Anney Parkin, Tammy Langendyk, and Tasha Cochrane. Expect to see any of these ladies at our many well attended parties, parents night out, and a variety of other events.
Anney Parkin - Newsletter Editor	I joined LMBA early in our twin pregnancy because I have to research everything and the club seemed like a logical source. In the first year of our monozygotic daughters' lives, LMBA Facebook and events connected me to a supportive group of multiple parents who probably saved me once a week. I really love listening to newer parents vent because it's great to reassure them that they too are normal. I've volunteered with Parent Outreach and am now on the Social Committee and edit the Encore newsletter. I don't have a lot of free time with 2 year olds, but what I have is dedicated to LMBA because it makes me happy to give and be connected to others who know what being a multiple parent really feels like.
Carol Feddema - Parent Outreach Coordinator	Hi, I'm Carol and this is a picture of me with my favorite 3 boys: my husband Jim, and our sons, Benjamin and Aiden, born October 8, 2006. I joined the club soon after we found out we were expecting twins, as I was very eager to learn anything I could from experienced moms of multiples! I'm on the Parent Outreach Committee with the club.
Shannon Wong - Facebook Administrator	I joined the LMBA in 2007 with my husband Murray while expecting our twin boys Damian and Lucas. At first it was for the sales but after joining the LMBA Facebook site, I couldn’t believe the amount of support and understanding that was there to help pull me through the early months of being a twin Mom. The Strollersize walks let me met these incredible ladies in person and gave me the confidence that I needed to take the boys out by myself. I joined the social committee in 2008 and became the Facebook Administrator in 2009 as a way to help other multiple families and so my sons can see just how special they are to be twins!
Nicole Chambers - Treasurer	I am Nicole Chambers, presently the Treasurer. I have a wonderful supportive husband Aaron, 3 1/2 year old boy/girl twins, Luke and Jacqueline, and 19 month old daughter Katie. I joined the club when my twins were a few months old. I heard about the bi-annual sales and I wanted to take advantage of them. After being at a few sales I was interested in being part of the sale committee, then after 1 sale I decided to step up to be part of the executive. I enjoy being part of the executive and look forward to getting to know everyone.
Christie Wilson - Webmaster	Christie and her husband joined the LMBA soon after their two bundles of joy were born, and hasn't looked back since! In the early days it was encouraging to hear other's stories of their life with twins (especially that we would get some sleep again) now it's wonderful to see our children having fun at the LMBA events. Christie was the newsletter editor for 3 years, and has recently taken on the role of webmaster.
Julie Carr - Past President	Joining the LMBA after moving from the GTA was the perfect way for our family to meet new people and make great friends. Not long after becoming a member I joined the executive team because I was grateful for everything I had gained from the club and wanted to give back. I began as the LMBA secretary for two years followed by President for another two. Our six year old twins still enjoy the family events and I certainly enjoy an evening out with other MoMs as well!
